Volvo
Aero Services and Tracer Expand Commercial Aviation Parts
Partnership
Outsourcing Sales and Services Deal Speeds Parts ROI to the
Airline Industry.
Milwaukee, WI. March 22, 2002:
Volvo Aero Services (http://www.ages.com/)
and Tracer (http://www.tracercorp.com/)
are moving the commercial aviation aftermarket parts
partnership that was formed at last year’s Paris Air Show
into new territory. The partnership, announced last June,
designated Tracer as the exclusive sales channel for the sale
of a vast inventory of top-quality expendable aircraft parts
from a major US airline. Today, in a major outsourcing move,
it was announced that Tracer will expand its role and provide
inside sales services to Volvo, helping provide faster parts
sales and service to Volvo customers around the world.
Hank Gibson, Volvo Aero
Services’ VP of Sales, said “we’re very pleased with the
sales expertise that Tracer has brought to bear on our huge
inventory of aircraft expendables. Despite the obviously
challenging aviation environment, Tracer is relentlessly
successful. We’re expanding Tracer’s role to handle a
wider range of our vast parts inventories and to help us
better serve our large customer base. Volvo’s depth of
knowledge, experience and resources combined with Tracer’s
talent and drive is a combination that’s great for the
market.”
Tracer President & CEO Bill
Morales commented “it’s all about return on investment.
Tracer is helping Volvo Aero move aircraft parts more quickly
and to better understand the market’s constantly shifting
needs. Tracer is an aviation parts company but we’re very
close to the ground. Our intense customer service and ability
to anticipate customer needs will help Volvo Aero drive its
market share.”
The new Volvo Aero-Tracer
partnership places Tracer personnel in Volvo Aero Services’
Boca Raton, FL headquarters and also consigns certain large
inventories of aviation parts to Tracer. Using Tracer’s
advanced information technology and customer relationship
management systems, and the Internet resources of TradeAir.com
(http://www.tradeair.com/)
and the Inventory Locator Service (ILS) (http://www.ilsmart.com/),
the Volvo-Tracer partnership will deliver aircraft parts and
services quickly and efficiently.
