MOST HELPFUL
WEB SITES
I just updated some of the
links, which had changed; don’t you hate it when that
happens? 11/7/05
Where do you go when you
need information? Like most us, you start with a web
search. Over the years, for those of us involved in the
aircraft parts business I have found these web sites to be
the most helpful. Putting the links in your favorites
listing or book-marking them will make you a valuable
source of information for both your company and customers.
Airlines:
Someone claims a part is traced to a part 129 air carrier.
Are they really? Are they a part 121 or 135?

1. To find a name, select
you browser’s "Edit" function and use the
"Find" feature.
2. If you don’t find an
airline’s name they are likely a purely ‘foreign’
airline that does not operate in the US, or have
aircraft registered. Alternatively, they could be an
airline listed as the financial holding company but
doing business as...

Accredited Distributors: Need
to find out if a distributor is accredited in accordance
with the FAA’s AC 00-56, and when their accreditation
expires?

https://www.bpn.gov/bincs/begin_search.asp
1. All you need to do is
to enter the CAGE or FSCM number in the CAGE code field
and submit the query
Acronyms:
This is a really cool web site that actually works for
finding out what those pesky acronyms mean. I’ve yet to
stump it’s data base. I jokingly put in my name (Roy)
and found some interesting info!
